TOWN OF AJAX

Ajax is a town in the eastern part of the Greater Toronto Area. It sits along Lake Ontario and has an abundance of walking trails. The 740 km Waterfront Trail stretches from Niagara-on-the-Lake east to Brockville, passing through Ajax. The trail offers some spectacular views. Paradise Beach sits along the Waterfront Trail and is the town's main beach area. It's a great spot to spend the day with family.

Play a round of golf at one of five superb golf courses or if golf isn't your game you can spend the afternoon shopping at RioCan Durham Centre. There are a number of brand name stores with one million square feet of shopping space.

Ajax Downs is a full 1.2km oval racetrack which was completed in 2009. The race track opened in 1969 as "Picov Downs". In 2006 the name changed due to the establishment of a new slot-machine gaming facility known as Casino Ajax.
