TOWNSHIP OF SCUGOG

Scugog is a township in the Regional Municipality of Durham. It is northeast of Toronto and north of Oshawa and is situated on the shores of Lake Scugog. Lake Scugog is one of Sourthen Ontario's largest bodies of water. Scugog is a First Nations word meaning "Marshy Waters".

Scugog Shores Museum Village captures what life in Scugog was like during the mid to late 1800s. The Museum Village features a blacksmith shop, harness shop, two barns, a woodwright shop and so much more.
